Discipleship Series | Week 1

In this first episode of our new series on discipleship, Darrell takes us into the Great Commission found in the Gospel of Matthew. Darrell calls the church to take seriously what he calls the Unfinished Agenda of Jesus. He unpacks what this agenda is by referring to the Great Claim and Great Commission found in the passage. He then goes on to describe the 4 marks of a disciple: attachment, intimacy, submission and security and suggests that all disciples are learners who need one another to grow. The task of the church is not to build a bigger church, but to form disciples that can make disciples that can make disciples.
